Senior Activities
 

The Senior Sunrise Breakfast was held on the first day of school.  Seniors enjoyed Chick Fil A biscuits, donuts, OJ, coffee, and a beautiful morning with their classmates.  

Many thanks to the PTSA volunteers that signed up to make this happen at 6:30 am!

Student Spotlight will highlight outstanding JCHS Students who go above and beyond to volunteer and help the PTSA throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
 

This month we would like to give a special thank you to these two extraordinary Seniors….

 

Miss Aarya Matharu and Mr. Kellen Fain

 

Both Kellen and Aarya stepped up to be a huge part of the Freshman Mini Camp's success. From finding and managing volunteers, setting up the agenda to offering new ideas, their leadership and guidance were greatly appreciated. There is no doubt Kellen and Aarya have a bright future ahead!

Hello Johns Creek High School Families,

 

The front office and the attendance office are in need of volunteers.  Shift times and responsibilities are as follows: 

 

Attendance office volunteers assist with checking students in and out of school and keeping track of attendance information. Shift times are from 8am-1130am or 1130am-3pm.

 

Front office volunteers assist with answering the questions of students and visitors, providing students with forms, and monitoring the front door.  Shift times are 9am-11:30am or 11:30am to 2pm.

 

In order to volunteer, you will need to complete the online mandatory reporting safety training as well as agree to the confidentiality guidelines.

 

Please email either Karen or Helen if you are interested.

 

We have really enjoyed helping the school in this capacity and hope you will join us.  If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and your JCHS PTSA Wellness Committee would like to invite you to purchase a Gold Bow for your mailbox.

Gold Bows are $25 each with all proceeds going to fund lifesaving research and to provide support to patients and their families through the relentless efforts of CURE Childhood Cancer and their volunteers.

  1. Go to www.curegoldbows.org,Choose Atlanta, Select Johns Creek High School/Stephanie Zimmerman, add the quantity of bows you’d like to your cart, then checkout. August 17th is the last day to purchase.
  2. Bows will be placed on your mailbox the weekend of August 27th. Please leave them up for the entire month of September.

Thank you in advance for helping us raise this cause throughout the month of September.

Good To Know ...

Are you new to JCHS or just forget where to find information or know who to contact? We've put together a 1-page list of “Good to know” Items for Rising 9th Grade Parents. But it's not only good for 9th Grade Parents, it's a great refresher for all JCHS parents.  Click here to download.

 

The front office also created these tips for parents:

  • Need to be Absent from School? - Please bring in a note to school upon your return. Drop it off at the Attendance Office. There is no need to call the office for an absence. If you checked out of school for a medical appointment, the absence will remain unexcused until the student returns with a doctor's note.
  • Checking Students Out of School - The quickest and most efficient way to check out of school is to send a note in with the student. The student will take it to the attendance office where he/she will receive a pass to leave class at the appointed time. For instances where a note was not sent in, please email Ms. Reid in the Attendance Office at Reidi@fultonschools.org.

On behalf of the PTSA, Welcome Back Gladiators!  We are so excited to get back together face to face for the 2021-22 school year! The PTSA is in full force and prepared to do what we do in support of JCHS students, teachers, staff, activities, and facilities.

Recent Events
Freshman Mini Camp

The PTSA sponsored Freshman Mini Camp was held July 29.  254 students attended making for a full and fun morning!  Students were mentored by JCHS upperclassmen gaining some insight and knowledge to help them get started at Johns Creek.  They also went on a tour to begin to learn their way around!  The morning was concluded with a Chick Fil A lunch and a Q&A with the upper-class volunteers!

Special thanks to Aarya Matharu, PTSA Student Representative, Kim Hochman, PTSA Co-President, and Ben Ambuehl, VP Gladiator Nation for their hard work to make this happen!
 
 

Back To School Breakfast

The PTSA provided a fiesta-themed back-to-school breakfast for JCHS teachers and staff on August 3.  Breakfast burritos from Manhattan NY Deli were enjoyed by all!

Shout out to Annette Hendrickson and Jaime Perez, Co-VPs PTSA Staff Support for making this special morning happen!
