Picture Day is This Month
Picture day for freshmen, sophomores and juniors is Friday, August 26. Students will go to the auxiliary gym during their English class that day to have their picture taken. Students without an English class should go to the aux gym when it fits in with their schedule and after checking in with that period’s teacher. Portraits can be ordered by visiting www.cady.com/portraits. Picture retakes will be Tuesday, October 4 in the same location.
Welcome Week
Student Council will sponsor its annual Welcome Week August 29 – September 2. Activities are scheduled for each day:
- Monday – Grab a Krispy Kreme donut to start your day
- Tuesday – Enjoy a free gift during flex and candy at lunch
- Wednesday – Visit the Kona Ice truck during lunch and buy a shaved ice for $4 or $5. This is a fundraiser for JCHS clubs.
- Thursday – Have fun playing the open piano in the rotunda and games in the courtyard during lunch
- Friday – Join your friends on a school scavenger hunt. Look for Student Council stickers and win prizes such as gift cards, a free yearbook, and homecoming tickets (only one prize per student allowed)
September Senior Treat
Our September Senior treat will take place on Friday, Sept 23rd at all three lunch periods and we will have the Kona Ice truck on campus. Don't miss it!

All Volunteers must read this!
EVEN IF YOU'VE BEEN VOLUNTEERING ON CAMPUS FOR YEARS!
If you completed the Volunteer Registration before June 2022, you are REQUIRED to complete an application again using the link below.
This may be an inconvenience, but it's necessary to ensure the safety of all our students and is required by Safety & Security for Fulton County Schools.
It is MANDATORY before you are permitted to volunteer in the building or in a capacity where students will be present. This includes team meals, senior activities, set building, costume distribution, honor roll recognition, office volunteers, etc.
So this means that the majority of us have to re-register.
Luckily the process takes less than 5 minutes! And will be active for two (2) years.

Lastly, when signing into the Raptor system at school, volunteers must click the VOLUNTEER option, only. NOT visitor.

Please make sure your senior has signed up and paid for the Senior Activities fee so they can take part in all the fun this year! They will receive monthly treats, merch, etc!!
