JCHS PTSA is excited to welcome Diana Ha Select Advisory, our newest partner in education,

a premier consultancy that develops high-impact integrated college applicants. Along with the verbal SAT & ACT and college essay coaching that has seen students to the college of their dreams, offerings include personalized roadmapping for underclassmen to differentiate their applicant profile and dynamic group sessions that transform students who shut down under pressure or struggle to write.

JCHS PTSA is grateful for the expertise and high-touch mentorship of DHSA founder Diana Ha, Penn graduate, former professor of composition, educator, and writer who has led college essay workshops in school districts and conferences. To celebrate this partnership, the Advisory is offering sophomores, juniors, and their parents a special complimentary event — a virtual close read of a successful Harvard application essay, unpacking what made it work.

April Wellness Wednesdays

April 15, 2026

On April 15, 2026, the JCHS PTSA organized a Wellness Wednesday event specifically for the Senior class. As part of the wellness committee’s ongoing efforts to promote student well-being and safety, the PTSA invited Ms. Rae Ann Gruver to speak to students. Ms. Rae Ann Gruver is recognized for her advocacy against hazing and her work with the Max Gruver Foundation. During the event, she shared the story of her son, Max Gruver, whose tragic experience with fraternity hazing inspired the creation of the foundation. Her presentation emphasized the dangers and consequences of hazing, as well as the importance of creating a culture of respect and responsibility among young adults. Ms. Gruver’s talk highlighted how JCHS students can make a difference by standing up against harmful practices and supporting one another. The event encouraged open dialogue, raised awareness, and empowered students to take action to ensure a safer and more supportive environment as they prepare for college and beyond.

April 22, 2026

On April 22, 2026, the JCHA PTSA hosted their final Wellness Wednesday event of the 2025-2026 school year. This special event marked the culmination of a year focused on promoting health and well-being throughout the school year. The final event served as both a celebration and a reminder of the importance of taking time to care for oneself and others. By combining outdoor recess and ice pops, the PTSA ensured that the last Wellness Wednesday was memorable for all who participated.

A special shout out to our parent volunteers!! 2025-2026 Wellness Wednesday’s wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing parent volunteers!!!
