Q & A
What is PTSA Mini-Grant?
Mini-grant is an annual grant opportunity the PTSA provides to all JCHS teachers and staff through its membership donation fund.
The grant ranges from $6,000-$15,000 depending on donations from the current year and overage from the previous year.
Teachers can apply for funds to cover additional class material that is not covered by school funds such as extra books, DVDs, magazine subscriptions, practice material, fun games, advanced equipment, etc. Teachers can also apply for funds for club equipment and project materials.
Here are a few examples of our large grants from previous years:
$5000 for updating theater lighting,
$4000 for Robotics club equipment,
$4000 for Computer Science class robots,
$2400 for new equipment for the AVTF department,
$1000 for upgrading chemistry lab equipment,
$840 for purchasing hardware for the multi-department project to control various technology using brain waves in a bi-lingual or multi-lingual environment
Please consider donating to PTSA so our students can continue to benefit academically and socially.
