ATTENTION FRESHMAN PARENTS

The JCHS PTSA is looking for a parent volunteer to assist in planning the upcoming Freshman Mini Camp with a group of freshman advisors.  Responsibilities include communicating with the group lead, assisting in planning of the event and ordering various items for the swag bag as well as lunch for the event.  This is a one day event that is student led and is a great way to get involved in the school!  Please reach out to President@jchsptsa.com for more information and to volunteer for this fun annual event.

VOLUNTEERS

Beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Fulton County Schools began utilizing the CheckMate Sign-In system to welcome visitors and volunteers into our schools. This has replaced the Raptor system. Despite feedback from office staff, the Volunteer Registration database did not roll over into the new system. Unfortunately, all school volunteers will need to re-register to assist with working in the office, attendance office, drama department, team meals, senior treats, Wellness Wednesday, senior carnival, chaperones, etc. Any task that will allow you to interact with students will require you to re-register. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is out of our hands. Please follow the link to access the FCS Volunteer Registration page.

Finally, all visitors must remember to bring in their driver's license each time they sign in. This is non-negotiable. The license will need to be scanned each time they come to the office. It will not hold onto the information like the other system. So, if you are coming in for a parent/counseling/teacher/administrator meeting, you must remember to bring your license. It can't be digital either.

Thank you for being patient as we implement this new safety procedure.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Newsletter Editor

Are you passionate about words, storytelling, and making a difference in your community? Do you have an eye for detail, a flair for creativity, and a knack for communication? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Parent Volunteer Newsletter Editor! At JCHS PTSA we believe that great stories have the power to inspire, inform, and unite people. Our newsletter is the heart and soul of our communication with our community, and we're looking for someone like you to help us take it to new heights.  Please contact Kristen Bush kristenbush@yahoo.com

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FRONT OFFICE

The Front Office is looking for a few additional volunteers.  The time commitment is as little as just 2-3 hours per month.  This is a low stress environment and a great way to be involved in our school.  The main responsibility would be answering the front door and checking in visitors.  You have the option of volunteering once per month, twice per month, or substituting when there is an opening.  If you'd like more information on this opportunity or interested in volunteering, please reach out to adminsupport@jchsptsa.com.

**Senior Sunset Update**

Due to construction happening on the track, the Senior Sunset event has been moved to the baseball complex.  Unfortunately we will not be able to broadcast the photo slideshow.  Thank you to everyone that sent in photographs of the students and their time at JCHS.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
